Restriction & Release
Manchester Art Gallery commissioned students from King David Sixth Form, Loreto College, Manchester College and Xavarian College to develop responses to the 14-18 Now exhibition Fashion & Freedom. They were inspired by experiences from the First World War, explored what happened to women during this period and made connections through the themes of restriction and release. The film looks at four pieces of work by Tal Beer, Sumayyah El-Gindy, Rylan Faith, Helena Welford, Yssie O'Carroll and Katie Deegan.
